IC INFORMATION
Characters Name: Taiga Kagami
Age: 16
Canon: Kuroko no Basket
Canon Point: Ch. 203
Species:Sweaty Basketball Guy Human
Gender: Male
Orientation: He's 16, so for now this isn't really an issue.
History: All of his sordid history is here.
Appearance: He has a cute face
Personality:
Kagami is a power forward, Seirin's "ace", and he has the fiery, domineering personality to match it, at least at first. He's huge and intimidating (when he's first introduced, his coach calls him a "wild tiger"), and he's great at basketball, as long as he isn't overworking himself into an injury. He's often described as having a potential so vast that it can't actually be visualized, and much of Kagami's problems in the series stems from the fact that he doesn't know how to harness it. His coach and teammates don't have a very good idea of how to help him harness it, either, though. A lot of the series is also spent on Kagami trying to prove himself, through sweat and (literally, at some points) blood, to the Generation of Miracles, that he's worthy as a challenger to them. And for the most part, so far, that's worked. He has a sort of desperate drive forward, despite his prodigal amount of skill, which is usually presented as a contrast to the rest of the Generation of Miracles, many of whom have become disillusioned with the challenge level of the sport. He's incredibly earnest, and this comes across in more than how he plays— it comes across in how he treats other people. Even if he's often mocked for being a bit dense by his teammates, he also is proven to be capable of learning— since eventually he learns how to not dive headfirst into challenges in the game.
But despite his intensity, Kagami is still essentially a bit of a dork. He's deathly afraid of dogs due to an incident back in America, and he's also scared of ghosts. He's not all that book smart, and he tries to make metaphors to get his team psyched up that his team just finds more amusing than inspiring. He can be a bit of a stubborn mother hen, too, especially when it comes to his partner Kuroko (who he often tries to give his extra burgers to). He's well-meaning but he's stubborn, and he clashes with nearly everyone he meets and he's not very good at learning when to stand down, at least initially. But he is absolutely a memorable person, and his presentation does, eventually, get more people to believe in him, even those members of the Generation of Miracles who all thought he was a joke, at first.
Abilities: I guess all of his basketball skills would get locked up? And maybe his cooking too. Most important with basketball is that he can jump really high and he has access to the plane of higher focus known as The Zone.
Other: He's fluent in both spoken Japanese and English, but he sucks at tests in both. He's also a massive glutton— seen taken a pile of burgers at multiple points in the series. He also spent several years in California.

Whoa, I didn't know this phone had a video function on it.
[the boy on screen seems a little befuddled by the fact that his phone had suddenly gotten a technological upgrade, but not just that.]
